Shirley started writing in grade school and hasn’t stopped since. They've written for the LA Times HSInsider, their nonfiction has won Honorable Mentions for the Scholastic Writing Awards, and they've been published in magazines such as Blood Moon Rising and 1888 Center. Shirley is an alumna from the Orange County School of the Arts for Creative Writing and from Cornish College of the Arts with a BFA in Film. When they aren't creating, they're either yelling at movie characters for dumb decisions, hunting ghosts, or curling up somewhere with a book and music. They write everything under the sun for fantasy, and yet they keep crawling back to horror. They take great pride in scaring people, just pay no attention to their search history. Shirley lives permanently in a small town in Southern California with their family.
