Aaron Morgan premiered his first short, “Blind,” at SXSW, and then went on to premiere two more shorts at Fantastic Fest with “No Way Out” and “Plan B.” He co-wrote the feature script “The Home” with Eric Vespe, which was optioned and developed by producer Elizabeth Avellan.
Morgan and Vespe have several projects in various stages of development.
I was inspired to make SEEK after going on a road trip and seeing all the old rundown and shuttered rest stops out in the middle of nowhere. My imagination ran wild with the possibilities of what could be dwelling inside the bones of these long forgotten structures.
SEEK is about forgotten and neglected things that are waiting for the perfect time to reveal themselves to us once more in a festered and angry way: a bullied child left alone for far too long, waiting for new people to play with.
I’m proud of our incredibly talented crew that tirelessly worked at the top of their craft to bring this short to you. From all of us, thank you for watching.
