Sculture da Fuoco
ANDREA SALVETTI. SCULTURE DA FUOCO. Andrea Salvetti is an artist, designer and sculptor. His workshop is in Lucca, at the start of the road that rises towards Abetone and his home, a small farm in the middle of Garfagnana, is a little higher up. Andrea is an artist farmer who is very familiar with the traditions, food, and hunger of the people of the Apennines. For this performance held at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, he built three pots – one in the shape of a lamb, in which to cook a whole lamb, one in the shape of a tree to cook the bread, and a trough to cook the vegetables.

I started my career in 1975 as a reporter. I then worked with various kinds of professional photography. Specifically, I have been working for design and furniture companies and publications since the 1980s, creating catalogues, editorials, and advertising campaigns.
For several years I have been creating videos on Italian design and in 2014 I began the cultural project design[in]video, which aims to bear witness to, historicize, and disseminate the various aspects of Italian design through interviews and video narratives.
