Welcome to the Santa Clarita International Film Festival (SCIFF). We are looking forward to receiving and viewing your films!

SCIFF will launch opening night on December 8, 2022, at the Laemmle in Newhall, CA, with the main program running December 9 - 11, 2022.

SCIFF is where the independent voice can honestly be heard. It is the goal of SCIFF to showcase quality INDEPENDENT projects regardless of budget or attached actors. As we say, "We start with a story..."

The Santa Clarita International Film Festival (SCIFF) is a non-profit organization committed to empowering the Santa Clarita Valley by using film as the primary medium to showcase the entire artistic community. We are about connection, community, creativity, and content.

Santa Clarita, often called the "Hollywood North," is a thriving community of artists and creators. So it is no surprise that Santa Clarita is a critical part of the filmmaking community, with 65% of its residents working in the industry. Additionally, the city has the most filming locations and studios in Los Angeles County, along with over 250 recent big-budget studio projects (not counting independents).

Due to its extremely creative community, Santa Clarita has always been home to many different events supporting all facets of the arts. SCIFF may only be in its second year, but the Santa Clarita arts community has been evolving for years. This film festival is the first event that brings together all types of artistic mediums into one remarkable affair for the Santa Clarita Valley.

We attended last year during their first iteration and had a great time! Despite being new, all the requirements for a great festival screening were there. Terrific venue, red carpet area for photos, excellent screening quality, press photos and recorded Q&A afterwards, and a well-attended awards ceremony taking place during the festival, with actual physical trophies for the awarded. I really hope this festival keeps going and building itself up, because this was a great start and Santa Clarita is the perfect place for an ongoing large-scale film festival.
