Born in 1993 in Isfahan, Iran, and raised in Abadan. A graduate of the cinematic workshop led by Master Nasser Taghvai. He began his filmmaking journey in 2013 and has directed films such as *The Savior is Dead* (2013), the short film *Dinner Table* (2019), *Anna's Mother and Her Husband* (2021), *Paper Boat* (2025), and the experimental film *Southern Murmurs* (2025). Currently focused on distributing his works, Saman’s films have been selected for over 10 domestic and international festivals.
His short film *Southern Murmurs
* was featured at the Tehran Oscar-Qualifying Film Festival in 2024, where it earned the title of the second most popular experimental film by audience votes. He is currently in post-production for the documentary *Metropole: Brothers Hamed* and is completing his latest short film in preparation for his first feature film in the near future.
In addition to creating numerous films in narrative, experimental, and documentary formats, Saman has worked in various roles within the film industry, including as a cinematographer, assistant director, and behind-the-scenes photographer.
In 2020, he taught courses at several cinematic institutions, including the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, covering topics such as *First Filmmaking Experiences*, *Photography and Cinematography*, and hosted workshops on *Low-Budget Short Film Production* in various cities across Iran.
Since 2013, alongside filmmaking, he has been producing promotional teasers and industrial documentaries for organizations and managing the branding of prominent artistic brands in Iran.
