Experiencing Interruptions?

salt & sea

This film tells of the end of an era. Ireland has a rich history with its lighthouses, helping ships navigate around its rocky coastline. The job of the lighthouse keeper was to communicate with these ships and keep and maintain the lighthouses. The job was accompanied by a very distinct lifestyle in some of the most isolated places in the world. Gerald is one of about a dozen living lighthouse keepers in Ireland, as these lighthouses have become automated since the mid-nineties.
