Run New York

Following twin brothers Henry and William Wade for seven days around Manhattan whilst they complete a mental and physical challenge running 7 marathons in 7 days to raise money and awareness for a mental health and suicide prevention charity. The story shines a light on how something as simple as running can have an impact on mindset and self-worth. Whilst the challenge of running 7 marathons in 7 days was the same for both Henry and William, their difference in experience, breakpoints and motivations were greatly influenced by their individual pasts.

Director Statement

The story of 7 marathons in 7 days. Shot in New York City with brothers Henry and William Wade. Running a total of 183.4 miles ending with the official New York marathon. The film is not only a focus on incredibly athletic ability, but also a look into how much your mental state plays a part in being able to achieve something like this.

Whilst Henry and William are twins they have both experienced various battles with mental health and have both turned to running as a form of therapy and self healing.

Prior to this challenge neither Henry or William had never ran two consecutive marathons. Going into this challenge there was air of oblivion on whether they were physically or mentally capable of achieving such a feat. This aspect of the story was particularly an anchor point for the film and why Director Vedant Majithia wanted to create this piece as a visual metaphor, depicting what mental health struggles can really be like; doing the impossible.
