Jamal is in his thirties, living a life of misery and routine. One night, Jamal is trying to sleep when he starts hearing water droplets. He gets up to try to fix the kitchen faucet and discovers that he needs to replace the rubber washer. Jamal leaves his house in the middle of the night to look for a new one. In the beginning Jamal believes he’s the only one suffering from this problem, then he discovers that most shops have ran out of rubber washers, and all of the people in the city are lining up to try to buy the last pieces available.

Hadi shatat is a Jordanian- Palestinian filmmaker, he started working in the film industry in 2017 in the camera department. A year later, Hadi decided to learn more about the industry and enrolled in SAE Institute Amman to pursue a degree in Filmmaking. During Had’s time in SAE he discovered his passion for writing and directing, and he started working on his writing, including participating in screenwriting workshops. After graduating, Hadi wrote and directed his debut short film “Rubber Washer” funded by the Royal Film Commission’s Jordan Film Fund (JFF)..
