After twenty-five years of a successful advertising career, with award-winning ads and campaigns, Rogerio discovers his real purpose in life: telling stories that entertain and transform people. So, in 2016, he decided to study dramaturgy in depth, in addition to all creative writing techniques, specializing in scriptwriting. Rogerio has written 15 projects, including TV series, animations, documentaries and films that are in the hands of major Brazilian producers. Since 2018 he has also dedicated himself to film direction.

From this encounter, six short films and two medium-length films emerged, shown and awarded in all four corners of the planet. The second, MAGYA, won “Best Film” in Chile, was a finalist in South Africa, a semi-finalist in Italy and selected in more than thirty indie festivals. THE FAKE DICTATOR, filmed in Italy, was a finalist in London and India, nominated for best film in India and honorable mention in the USA. 242 BROOMSTICKS, also filmed in Italy, received an honorable mention in Texas, USA. ALONE was screened at the UN in the SDGs Film Challenge now in 2024. In 2021, he released his first medium-length film: THE ZIMMER FRAME LADY, “Best film” in Los Angeles, selected at the Short Film Market in Clermont-Ferrand 2022, finalist at the Mondo Film Festival which takes place in 4 countries, with a world premiere at Liverpool Indie Awards. All of his films have been selected in more than 60 national and international festivals.

In 2019, he was selected for a three-month film residency in Italy. In the same year, he won the Silver Lion in film at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity and the Grand Prix at the renowned EL OJO Latinoamérica, for his first Branded Content script, the COMA_original Getty Images series - the first in history produced with image banks. In total, it has more than 40 awards.

At the moment, he has just released his second medium-length film CALL CENTER at the European Film Market (EFM) within the Berlinale 2024. In addition, it is raising funds for the production of its first feature film: US, an honorable mention for script at the Cabíria 2023 award and a successful project at EFM 2024, garnering interest from two co-producing countries. Lately, he has just finished the first treatment of his second feature film, Fatebenefratelli, a co-production with Italy also raised during EFM 2024.
