Roger Boyer is an Indigenous director/writer based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has written, produced, directed various short films and documentaries that have screened at the imagineNATIVE Film Festival, the Gimli Film Festival, the Talking Stick Film Festival, the American Indian Film Festival, and the LA Skins Film Festival.
Roger is a founder of the Winnipeg Indigenous Filmmaker Collective. This is a monthly meeting at the Winnipeg Film Group where local indigenous filmmakers network and help produce each other's work.
He is also a founder of Canada's first Indigenous Film Summit which brings together numerous professional indigenous filmmakers.
Recently, Roger founded the production company Boyer Thomas Productions with his producing partner, Eva Thomas. The first projects they are developing include their short film titled "The Fire", as well as their feature film: "Coffee Express".
