From Redneck to Rainbow: The Rights & Freedoms of LGBTQ+ Youth
The City of Grande Prairie Youth Council did not agree with Bill 10 which was introduced in 2014 in Alberta, Canada. It stated that a school could turn away a student who wished to start a Gender Sexuality Alliance Club. They collaborated with their sister city youth councils, Calgary & Edmonton, coaching each other to go in front of their City Councils in order to ask for support in the amendment of the Bill. Collaborating with C.I.A Solutions they learned the art of documentary film making over a period of two years. They were determined for youth voices to be heard. This is their story.
