Raakh
Director - Vedanti Dani
Religion is a practice but faith is an approach. Many a times, an individual is confused between the need to pray and the belief in the god or nature or almighty.
Raakh is a 'slice of life' story, made with a dedicated mind and soul to reach out to the roots of knowing ourselves in terms of our priorities and the relationships. Though the film broadly deals with superstition or Social/ Religious Conditioning; it also deals with many themes on subliminal level, like Cycle of Life, Companionship, Unsaid love, Crave for company, Superstition.
This story occurred to me as I belong to a typical Indian middle class family where a child is brought up with the values of rituals, need in faith (or Blind faith) and tiny capabilities of human in opposition with great powers possessed by the God. Shraddha means faith. I have seen many Shraddha's in my little life span, may be all of them didn't land where my Shraddha landed; in fact many of them achieved the destination of fulfillment which re insured the practices they followed were correct.
