qFLIX Philadelphia (March 25-31, 2019) is produced by qFLIX USA, the producers of qFLIX Worcester, and is rooted in 25 years of LGBTQ+ film festival leadership and tradition. We believe that experiencing our voices, stories and visions on film from around the globe, from birth to death, from the loved to the loveless, from youth to maturity, helps lift us forward as individuals and as a community. Film as an international language allows qFLIX Philadelphia to foster, support, and give access to independent filmmakers and to encourage and nurture younger ones in the art of filmmaking.

Our vision is to preserve the tradition of the exhibition of American and international lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual and queer independent film in the New England region. qFLIX Philadelphia presents this film festival for, by, and about our community. We produce this festival for the education, entertainment, and enjoyment of past, present and future generations.

It was a great honor to have the World Premiere of my film Bathroom Stalls & Parking Lots at qFlix Philadelphia

I would like to express my immense gratitude to everybody that makes this inspiring festival happen- to all the amazing volunteers, hosts, & festival personnel.

I was welcomed to Philadelphia with warm hospitality by friendly kind souls who went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable there and happy with the screening - and I certainly was.

The festival was magically remarkable. I will hold dearly in my heart all the friends I made there.

And coming back home with an award made everything even more special. Thanks to all the audience who attended the festival and voted in my film.

I was also able to make connections to get distribution for my film. That really helped to advance my career as a filmmaker.

Thanks to all qFlix producers for working so hard to make sure our LGBTQ+ community keeps having a voice!

My film's world premiere took place at qFlix Philadelphia. Even though I was very excited and thankful for the selection, the festival was super uncommunicative - I wrote to them countless emails merely trying to find out if they received my film's materials, with no response - I even tried to contact them through their instagram chat, no good there either. I never got any information about the festival itself, the screening or even an invitation to come to the festival. I only found out the date and time of my film's screening from the website (which I had to check day by day, seeing as no one bothered to inform anywhere when will the program and dates will be revealed). Very disappointed, especially seeing as this was my film's world premiere and I got no clue how it went or how my film was treated.

Our documentary, Jack & Yaya, had its world premiere at qFlix and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everyone on the qFlix team was so supportive and kind. Our film was screened at Plays & Players, which is a fantastic venue. We also had a blast at the closing night film and awards ceremony. Thank you qFlix for such an incredible experience! We can't wait til next year.
