ELIGIBILITY
ONLY PROGRAMS THAT CURRENTLY BROADCAST ON PUBLIC ACCESS and/or CABLE ACCESS TV ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SUBMISSIONS. If you would like to submit your film you may SUBMIT TO THE PEOPLE'S FILM FESTIVAL FOR CONSIDERATION.
• ENTRANTS MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER
• FOREIGN-LANGUAGE PROGRAMS MUST HAVE ENGLISH SUBTITLES
• MUST CURRENTLY TELECAST ON A PUBLIC/CABLE ACCESS CHANNEL.
• PROGRAMS MUST BE CREATED AND FUNDED BY INDEPENDENT PRODUCERS.
• PROGRAMS MUST BE COPYRIGHTED.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
• Entry Length/Formats” All Entries must be – 5 mins to – 30 minutes for ½ hour programming or 60mins for 1 hour programming in length for each submission.
• ALL SUBMISSIONS SHOULD BE SENT TO US AS SECURE ONLINE SCREENERS. PMAE no longer accepts DVD/BluRay screeners as standard submissions.
• You can submit via FilmFreeway, or Link to other online streaming sites, i.e. (YouTube).
• Producers may submit more than one show however; each show must have its own Entry Form and Entry Fee.
• Completion Date - We accept all shows There is no mandatory completion date for your show submission.
AWARDS & PRIZES
Official Selections in each category will be screened during the festival and Winners of The People's Public Media Awards of Excellence will be presented with an award at The OOLEE's Public Media Award Breakfast during the 8th Annual People’s Film Festival in Harlem, New York, which will take place May 28-May 30, 2020.

By submitting ___________________________________________________ (show/project title), I/We have read, understood and accept the rules, regulations and guidelines for participation in The Public Media Awards of Excellence /The Peoples Film Festival. I/We warrant the submission of my/our original work and there are no disputes regarding the ownership of the submission and this film is not subject to any litigation nor is any litigation threatened. I/We also warrant the submitted material does not defame or invade the rights of any person living or dead and I/We will indemnify and hold harmless The OOLEE’S—Public Media Awards of Excellence, THE PEOPLE'S Film Festival, The People’s Media Music & Arts Foundation, its directors, management, staff, and sponsors, and defend them against all claims, demands, losses damages, judgments, liabilities and expenses (including attorney's fees) arising out of TPPMA’s exhibition and promotion of said program- should such show be programmed as part of the 2020 The OOLEE—Public Media Awards of Excellence /THE PEOPLE'S Film Festival. I am legally authorized to enter this video/film/animation in TPPMA and I give the festival committee the right to use my film, video, animation and/or experimental project including promotional stills and information to promote my project in The OOLEES—Public Media Awards of Excellence /PEOPLE'S FILM FESTIVAL 2020.
