Director Statement

"Adarnia" short-film was made with blood and sweat for a period of two years. It was both a passion project and a final project submitted for our university, which won 2 awards (Best 3DCG and Finalist for President's Choice Award) at Digital Hollywood University in Tokyo. It also received the Best CG Animation from DIGITAL FRONTIER GRAND PRIX [https://www.dhw.co.jp/df/] which was held on April 4, 2021. It also had a special screening on the "ShortShorts" Film festival Asia (www.shortshorts.org) in Aoyama, Tokyo, Japan. It was an official finalist at the Prague International Monthly Film festival and got selected for Best Animation Short at the Asian Cinematography Awards, The Isolation Film Festival, and Veracruz Short Film Festival. For the technical aspects, the 3DCG animated film was rendered in real-time graphics using Unreal Engine software.

It would be such an honor to be included in your festival/events. Thank you very much. The short film is designed to be both a stand-alone short film but also part of much bigger mythology and an epic world full of unique characters and environments. The film is inspired by our love for all sci-fi and Shakespearean-like stories. We all love genre films with a deep story presented to us in an environment full of action sequences, adventures, and unique visuals. Thank you so much to everyone who supported us in this project! Hope you like it as much as we are very proud and enjoyed working on it.

Hint:
The story plays with time, weaving both the past and present together.
