“Thanks to Luck and Good People”

“Thanks to Luck and Good People” is a documentary film telling
the story of Irena Talmon, a holocaust survivor from Poland.
Almost eight decades after the family odyssey ,Maya, Irena’s
daughter, sets out on a quest of her own tracing the family’s
escaping journey during ww2: starting in Czestochowa, moving to
Lviv, returning to the ghetto in Czestochowa and finally reaching
Warsaw. Part of the family didn’t survive the journey, but Irena
and a few other members succeeded to survive thanks to three
courageous Polish women who risked their lives in order to save
them. All three were recognized as Righteous Among the Nations.
During the journey, Maya met a few relatives of these outstanding
women, and had the opportunity to thank them.
”Thanks to Luck and Good People” proves that brave, human, and
warmhearted people can be found also in the darkest times of
human history.
