The Bartender's Guide

Anyone who has ever bartended knows that it is not just about serving drinks to strangers or better yet the local regulars and just wait until they order another. It is so much more than that as a bartender named Jim will tell you. Jim has a, shall we say “guide” on the patrons, from Donnie, the middle-aged divorcee who tries to pick up all the ladies to Larry the self-righteous executive who thinks he could sell a bible to the Pope. And then there is Jill, the young soon to be newlywed who seems to be contemplating some life decisions before the big day. And who could forget Hank, the Vietnam Veteran who gave his life to his country but seemed to have forgotten to give life to himself. Jim sees so many different people he has become part of their live’s but they do not seem to even realize it. Is it time to pass the tradition down and guide a young job seeker to the ways of the bartender?
