Welcome to PRISMA - Queer Film Festival Cork.

Our second edition of PRISMA will take place from Friday 29th August to Sunday 31st August 2025.
We are excited to expand our festival and collaborate with more and bigger screening venues.

PRISMA hosts a selection of feature and short film screenings, talks and industry events, as well as collaborations with local community projects, all focusing on queer representation and promoting inclusivity and diversity in the film community and industry.

1. PRISMA seeks to highlight Irish and international queer cinema in all its forms while supporting and advancing the LGBTQIA+ filmmaking community in Cork.

2. Held annually, PRISMA takes place over one weekend across various venues in Cork City.

3. The festival accepts unsolicited submissions of feature films, documentaries, short films, animations and music videos of any genre or theme via FilmFreeway.

4. Additionally, the festival also selects feature films, documentaries, and short films of any genre or theme through invitations.

5. Films submitted to PRISMA Film Festival must have been produced within the past three years.

6. Submissions are only accepted via online viewing links.

7. PRISMA awards several symbolic, non-monetary prizes at the end of the festival, determined by a jury and audience votes.

8. All foreign and Irish language films must include English subtitles, while English-language films should provide Closed Captioning for Deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers.

9. Films selected for the festival will not be modified in any way for screening purposes.

10. Promotional excerpts from films will only be used with the filmmakers' permission.

11. Submitting a film signifies acceptance of these outlined regulations.
