RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. GENERAL CONDITIONS
PLUM! 2025 opens its call for animation works in the three competition categories established in these rules.
1.1 Participation is open to individuals or legal entities, of any nationality, individually or collectively, over 18 years of age, by submitting animated works that meet the established requirements and technical standards that allow their future exhibition.
1.2 Participation in the competitions is free of charge for applicants from Argentina.
1.3 The call is open to works made with any animation technique, finished after January 1st, 2023.
2. APPLICATION DATES
2.1 Applications will be accepted from 6 May 2025 until 15 September 2025.
3. COMPETITION CATEGORIES
International Animated Short Film Competition: for works from anywhere in the world, with no thematic or technical restrictions. Award for the Best International Animated Short Film.
Latin American Animated Short Film Competition: includes productions from Latin America. Award for Best Latin American Animated Short Film.
International Animated Video Clip Competition: open to animated video clips from all over the world. Award for the Best International Animated Video Clip.
4. REGISTRATION, SUBMISSION AND SELECTION OF WORKS
4.1 Entries will be submitted exclusively through the Festhome and FilmFreeway platforms.
4.2 The works will be subjected to a pre-selection process carried out by the Festival's Selection Committee. The decision of the committee is final.
4.3 By applying, participants fully accept these rules. The submission of a work implies that the applicant declares to be the owner of the copyright or to have express authorisation for its public exhibition within the framework of the festival.
In the event that the work includes material protected by third party rights, the applicant declares that he/she has the corresponding authorisations. The applicant is responsible for any conflict arising from the use of such works and exempts the Festival from any legal responsibility.
4.4 The organisation reserves the right to resolve any situation not foreseen in these rules.
5. JURY
5.1 The Jury will be made up of professionals in the field of animation: directors, producers, journalists, cultural managers and representatives of national and international institutions.
5.2 The jury will not be made up of people who have a direct relationship with the works in competition.
5.3 The jury's decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
6. OFFICIAL SELECTION
6.1 The Official Selection will be published on the festival website (www.plumanimationfest.com) and on the official Instagram account: @plum.fest. In addition, those selected will be notified by email.
6.2 Selected works must authorise the use of trailers or fragments (provided by their representatives) for promotional purposes of the Festival.
6.3 The works that are part of the Official Selection will receive official PLUM! Festival laurels.
6.4 The selected films must follow the instructions sent by the organisation regarding formats, deadlines, place and way of sending the final files for their exhibition.
6.5 Failure to deliver the final material in due time and form may result in the disqualification of the work.
6.6 If the work is in a language other than Spanish, it must be sent with subtitles in Spanish (or, failing that, in English), in a separate file (.srt or other subtitle format).
6.7 The Festival will not cover travel or accommodation expenses for the selected filmmakers. However, letters of support may be issued in order to obtain resources from institutions or organisations.
6.8 The Festival will not pay screening fees. All screenings will be free and open to the public.
7. ACCEPTANCE
Participation in the Festival implies full acceptance of these regulations. Any eventuality not contemplated will be resolved by the organization in an unappealable way.

PLUM! le da la bienvenida a propuestas artísticas y a la comunidad de aficionados y profesionales del medio audiovisual.

Competencia Latinoamericana de Cortometrajes Animados
Competencia Internacional de Videoclips Animados
REGLAMENTO
1. CONDICIONES GENERALES
PLUM! 2025 abre su convocatoria para presentar obras de animación en las tres categorías en competencia establecidas en estas bases.
1.1 Podrán participar personas físicas o jurídicas, de cualquier nacionalidad, en forma individual o colectiva, mayores de 18 años, mediante el envío de trabajos de animación que cumplan con los requisitos establecidos y los estándares técnicos que permitan su futura exhibición.
1.2 La participación en las competencias es gratuita para postulantes de Argentina.
1.3 La convocatoria está abierta a obras realizadas con cualquier técnica de animación, finalizadas a partir del 1 de enero de 2023.
2. FECHAS DE POSTULACIÓN
2.1 Se recibirán postulaciones desde el 6 de mayo de 2025 hasta el 15 de septiembre de 2025.
3. CATEGORÍAS EN COMPETENCIA
Competencia Internacional de Cortometrajes Animados: destinada a obras de cualquier parte del mundo, sin restricción temática ni técnica. Premio al Mejor Cortometraje Internacional de Animación.
Competencia Latinoamericana de Cortometrajes Animados: incluye producciones de América Latina. Premio al Mejor Cortometraje Latinoamericano de Animación.
Competencia Internacional de Videoclips Animados: abierta a videoclips de animación de todo el mundo. Premio al Mejor Videoclip Internacional Animado.
4. INSCRIPCIÓN, ENVÍO Y SELECCIÓN DE OBRAS
4.1 La inscripción de las obras se realizará exclusivamente a través de las plataformas Festhome y FilmFreeway.
4.2 Las obras serán sometidas a un proceso de preselección realizado por el Comité de Selección del Festival. La decisión del comité es inapelable.
4.3 Al postular, los participantes aceptan plenamente estas bases. El envío de una obra implica que quien la postula declara ser titular de los derechos de autor o tener autorización expresa para su exhibición pública en el marco del festival.
En caso de que la obra incluya material protegido por derechos de terceros, el postulante declara contar con las autorizaciones correspondientes. Se hace responsable por cualquier conflicto derivado del uso de dichas obras y exime al Festival de cualquier responsabilidad legal.
4.4 La organización se reserva el derecho de resolver cualquier situación no prevista en este reglamento.
5. JURADO
5.1 El jurado estará conformado por profesionales del campo de la animación: realizadores, productores, periodistas, gestores culturales y representantes de instituciones nacionales e internacionales.
5.2 No podrán formar parte del jurado quienes tengan relación directa con obras en competencia.
5.3 Las decisiones del jurado son definitivas e inapelables.
6. SELECCIÓN OFICIAL
6.1 La Selección Oficial será publicada en el sitio web del festival (www.plumanimationfest.com) y en la cuenta oficial de Instagram: @plum.fest. Además, los seleccionados serán notificados por correo electrónico.
6.2 Las obras seleccionadas deberán autorizar el uso de trailers o fragmentos (proporcionados por sus representantes) para fines promocionales del Festival.
6.3 Los trabajos que formen parte de la Selección Oficial recibirán laureles oficiales del Festival PLUM!.
6.4 Los seleccionados deberán seguir las instrucciones enviadas por la organización sobre formatos, plazos, lugar y forma de envío de los archivos finales para su exhibición.
6.5 El incumplimiento en la entrega del material final en tiempo y forma podrá resultar en la descalificación de la obra.
6.6 Si la obra está en un idioma distinto al español, deberá enviarse con subtítulos en español (o, en su defecto, en inglés), en archivo separado (.srt u otro formato de subtítulo).
6.7 El Festival no cubrirá gastos de traslado ni alojamiento de los realizadores seleccionados. Sin embargo, se podrán emitir cartas de apoyo para gestionar recursos ante instituciones u organismos.
6.8 El Festival no abonará derechos de exhibición (screening fee). Todas las funciones serán con entrada libre y gratuita para el público.
7. ACEPTACIÓN
La participación en el Festival implica la aceptación total de este reglamento. Cualquier eventualidad no contemplada será resuelta por la organización de forma inapelable.
