Ucok's Journey

Ucok is a young man who, despite his meager income, always tries to help his family. One day, while he was working, Ucok found a wallet which Ucok then took secretly. When Ucok was in the elevator, Ucok met a boss who lost a wallet. Realizing that the wallet belonged to the boss, Ucok returned the wallet. Ucok proves that in the midst of his economic difficulties, Ucok still clings to his good morals..

Director Biography - Azwa Hanan Ameera

Azwa Hanan Ameera goes by the nickname Ara. She is an undergraduate film student in BINUS University. At her age of 18, she has worked on three film projects including Ucok's Journey in which she took the role of director.

Director Statement

In this day and age, I am made aware of the difficulty of earning money to make ends meet. I was also made aware of the phenomenon of the "sandwich generation", where the son is forced to support his family and carry twice the burden. This movie shows how difficult it is for a young man to fulfill the needs of himself and his family without forgetting his good morals. Although in practice life is not that easy, I hope this film provides awareness and hope for good behavior that will certainly be rewarded.
