Director Biography - Diallo Javonne French

Kansas City-native Diallo Javonne French began his filmmaking career nearly two decades ago with a pawn store purchase of an 8mm camera. In the 90’s, he relocated to the south to attend Clark University in Atlanta, Georgia. There, while attending school, he worked as a production assistant for a number of music video projects for TLC, Outkast, Goodie Mob, Xscape, Raven Symone, and with director Hype Williams. Fifteen years later, French has recently completed his second short film titled Pay Respects. French’s first short May This Be Love won the Atlanta Urban Mediamakers Film Festival in 2007. It was featured on BET’s “Lens on Talent” in 2009. The latest film project is currently available for mass consumption on various web outlets.
