Yiannis Papanastasopoulos is a 22 year old director/cinematographer from Greece. He just obtained his Bachelor degree in Film Studies at New York College (University of Greenwich). He has mainly worked as a cinematographer for the short films Google It (2015), The Locksmith (2015), The dollhouse (2016), Xoreuodas to Oneiro (2016) and also directed various music videos and other projects too. He has also worked as a cinematographer's assistant for the film "Forever" (Gia Panta) 2015.
This short film is also a personal tribute to a very close friend of mine. I was inspired to make this film during the summer of 2015 when suddenly a friend of mine, only 22 years old, diagnosed with a lymphoma disease. I wrote my character “Yorgos” based on some of his real life events. Unfortunately, his situation got worse and lost the “fight” with the lymphoma on February 2016. I never got to tell him that I was making my first short film based on him, as I wanted him to surprise him and see the final film. So this is a personal challenge for me, to make this short film meaningful by giving hope and strength to many people across the globe.
