Paris Independent Film Festival is preparing for another fantastic festival of independent filmmaking from October 15- 21, 2022.

The Paris Indie is dedicated to celebrating the works of independent filmmakers from around the world, and we pay special attention to ultra low-budget films by first and second-time directors.

Micro-budget Feature (budget under €150k)

Rules & Terms

1. All film entries must be submitted digitally to be considered for selection and received by the final receipt deadline.
2. Films which have been broadcast on Television, Cable or have had an international theatrical release prior to the Paris Indie are NOT eligible for any competition but may be screened, out of competition.

    It was a high honor to participate in the Paris Independent Film Festival. We were treated extremely well and everything was clearly organized and communicated. I would highly recommend submitting. Our film "State of the Unity" won the "Best Documentary Feature" award - and it means so much to our team and our supporters. Not only have we had a great opportunity, but we feel like we have made a friend along the way as well. Paul did a fantastic job.     The Paris Independent Film Festival is quite possibly one of the best film festivals I've had the pleasure of submitting to - especially in the age of a global pandemic where festivals have had to move to a streaming platform. The communication was fantastic, the Eventive site where the festival was hosted did a fine job of recreating the festival experience and I was able to watch all of the entries at my leisure, and the quality of the other films really blew me away - especially the documentary features. It was truly an honor to win in the "Animated Short" category for the Spring 2022 season and I wish a live festival attendance in Paris could've been possible. In any case, Paul Detre ran a brilliant festival and I would highly encourage filmmakers to submit their best work to the PIFF!
