Pamela Jones:
Pamela placed in the semi-finals of the Page International Screenwriting Awards (Top 25), the SCREENCRAFT PILOT LAUNCH and the FADE IN Pilot competition with her co-writer sister with their TV comedy pilot "The Lucy Gray Agency". It's about an absinthe-swilling clothing savant who shakes up the fashion industry by opening an all ages and sizes fashion house.
Pam also had the honor of being chosen as a Top 10 Finalist in the Cannes Screenplay Competition for co-writing her First Nations' short script "Restoration", for which she and her writing partner received Canada Council funds to expand into a feature film script starring Lorne Cardinal.
She wrote the short script for "A Fare", from a story by producer/director Lily Hui (A+E/Lifetime, ABC) which screened at Lady Filmmakers Film Festival, La Femme Festival, and Local Sightings Festival. It was a finalist at Austin Film Festival, Women in Film Festival, was a finalist on the "hot list" for the Cleveland Film Festival and was purchased by the Gaia Network and The Shorts Network. She has written a female-driven motorcycle feature titled "Indian Summer", and is developing several TV projects.
Pam has written radio and television commercial scripts for many high profile media outlets including Knowledge Network, CTV and Global TV. She is a voiceover artist and coach who co-owns the sound studio, Soundswrite and currently serves on the Advisory Board for Broadcasting at British Columbia Institute of Technology. She is also on the board of Women in Film and Television.
The mother of two grown daughters and a mini schnauzer named "Gracie", Pam can often be found riding a motorcycle or writing in her favorite place - a trailer in the woods at a remote Norwegian campground outside Vancouver, where she also loves to garden.
