Pain And Love

Logline：The documentary called Pain and Love tells about the pain and love of Chloe, a girl suffering from severe depression, in the process of overcoming depression.

This is a documentary about depression. The whole script is about her state when she was sick and the process of her recovery. The part I chose to shoot was a scene where Chloe and her mother were walking and playing on the beach. The reason why I chose this scene is that Chloe was always encouraged and supported by her mother during her treatment. Mother's love is an indispensable part of her recovery.

Director Biography - chunlu hao

My name is Chunlu Hao. I am currently studying for a master's degree in moving image at the University of Sydney. I have a year of work experience in media art production, especially in documentary production. I think documentaries are a deep understanding of reality, while feature films use imagination to promote narrative. I am familiar with all the processes from pre-production to post-production, and can have good teamwork.

Director Statement

Chunlu Hao was born in Xinjiang, China. Although her undergraduate major is not film production, she has a great interest in film script writing, especially documentaries.
After graduating from her bachelor degree, she worked in the TV station for half a year. During the internship, her main job was to write scripts, shoot and edit videos.

Chunlu Hao went to the University of Sydney to study film production in 2019. In the process of learning, she has conducted in-depth study on the shooting and writing of documentaries. At the end of last year, she finished filming a documentary about depression. In addition, she has also served as editor and producer of some comedy films.

She is currently serving as the producer of the last project.
