Director Statement

Our Parents Lied was born out of my love of old-school special effects. Films like Army of Darkness, John Carpenter's The Thing, and A Nightmare on Elm Street are just some of the greats that truly sparked and shaped my appreciation for the form. Films at their very best can make us scream, cringe, laugh, cry and instill a feeling of hope that no other art form can match. It's those reactions that I hope to evoke in all my past and future work.
