Director Biography - Márcia Simões

Márcia Simões, born in Lisbon, 1994.
As a kid, she would pick her favorite movies based on their cinematography without having a notion of the concept.

Nowadays, a fine art and portrait photographer, she has finally taken the step towards filmmaking, starting with music videos such as "Sunset Feelings" by Anne Mae, "666" by Jaymeso, and video for events such as Moda Lisboa, festivals, among others. The final leap was made with the full realization and commitment in the short “O Segredo dos Pássaros”, made in just 48 hours and which gave her the greatest pleasure in the world and the confirmation of her path in the fantastic world of cinema.
