Trevor Silverstein is an American filmmaker currently based in Berlin, Germany. He is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he studied Film and Television Production. During his time there, Trevor worked as an intern for THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART, LOUIE and Academy Award-winner Alex Gibney’s Jigsaw Productions.
In 2014, he was Writers Assistant/Script Coordinator on SOUTH OF HELL, a one-hour, horror-drama series which premiered on WEtv in Fall 2015. During this time, Trevor worked very closely with Emmy Award-winning Writer/Producer, James Manos, Jr. (DEXTER, THE SOPRANOS) and participated in every step of the production, from the opening of the writers room in New York to the wrap of principal photography in Charleston, SC. He can also be seen in certain episodes as “Ulysess,” a quasi-albino short order chef.
Most recently, Trevor co-authored, with James Manos, Jr., the feature film script for Freedom or Death, an adaptation of the acclaimed novel of the same name by Nikos Kazantzakis.
While Trevor represents this project as the one-man-production staff, he credits Matilde Keizer with being the driving creative force of ON-GOING. It's the area where their points of view and collaborative efforts collide that this project finds its best and most humorous moments.
