Rodrigo Moraes is Bachelor in Cinema and Audiovisual at UFF (2014), and Master in Communication and Culture at UFRJ (2019). He worked for 7 years at TV Brasil as an editor and image finisher (2012-2018). He has extensive experience editing documentaries, worked as an image editor and colorist at the Memórias do Arraial Project (Jan-Apr 2021), with the editing of ten short films – available at memoriasdoarraial.com.br He worked at Lascene production company (Jan /jun-2019) where he edited three documentary feature films (O Cinema das Mulheres, O Nome do Pai and Moda sem Medida). He wrote, directed and edited the short film Repórter Isso, awarded in the best editing and best short film categories by popular vote at Recine – 2013. He wrote the script, researched, produced, directed and edited the feature. documentary footage Okutá Ió, completed in June 2021.
In the academic field, he carried out important research related to the historiography of Brazilian cinema, with emphasis on his master's thesis: Interdict and Transgression - a study of the abject in the work of Carlos Reichenbach. Defended in June 2019 and approved with maximum grade and honorable mention at Universidade Federal Fluminense. He also participated in several cinema and communication congresses in the country.
