Writer Biography - Matthew Stordahl

I am a young filmmaker from Helena, MT. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Film from Montana State University, and, with my new skills and knowledge, am now working on getting my vast array of ideas into screenplay format. Every great film starts with a great screenplay. I want to make films that affect audiences, so to do that, I'm starting by taking my time on the screenplay.

I wrote the first draft of "Of a Dream about a Shadow" when I was a junior in college. It has been a few years, and several drafts since then, and the story changed a lot. This final draft is an authentic translation of the idea that has lived in my head since its inception.
