R. Alan Ingalls is an award-winning cinematographer and photographer fueled by caramel macchiatos and a passion for music, combat sports, and just about anything with a motor. Alan’s fascination with cameras began in Texas through childhood experiments using his grandmother’s VHS camcorder. Now based in a tiny Tennessee town about 100 miles north of Memphis, that curiosity has evolved into a full-time career in commercial filmmaking and photography. Since 2015, Alan has been part of the media team at Rough Country, an industry-leading manufacturer and distributor of automotive accessories that enable and enhance off-road adventures, where he produces high-quality marketing videos and product photography that showcase the design, function, and real-world performance of Rough Country’s products. Beyond that, Alan specializes in branded content, music videos, video podcasts, and short films, collaborating with clients and creative teams to craft visually compelling stories. Alan’s current career goals are to continue collaborating on high-end productions that push creative boundaries, challenge him to grow as a cinematographer, and allow him to work alongside talented teams on big-budget projects that elevate his craft and unlock new challenges, opportunities, and audiences.
