Director Statement

"Where are you being seen?" my acting coach asked us on our first day of class. I'd been acting in television and in commercials, but it hit me that I needed to create my own content if I didn't want to play the waiting game. Luckily, I'd been working with some extremely talented filmmakers, who blessed my first short, "Nocturne" with stunning cinematography and high production value on a shoestring budget.

This is a passion project for me, combining my love of music (we created original tracks as the characters) and art house visual aesthetics with an emotionally relevant story. The takeaway is that we need to show our love and appreciation to those around us now, because tomorrow is not guaranteed for any of us.
