No Coast Film Fest is committed to promoting the short film genre by bringing together established and first-time filmmakers from Kansas and all over the world in a forum to celebrate the short film genre.

Running at the historic Granada Theatre in Emporia, Kansas, we screen both Award-winning short films from the international film festival circuit and new discoveries alike.

We enable filmmakers to meet their audience, and for dialogue to happen. We support and provide a platform for filmmakers who might not otherwise have an opportunity to show their films in Kansas. We help them build new audiences and expose their work to both young people exploring the world through film for the first time and to veteran movie lovers.

  • No Coast Film Festival is pure community joy! What a gem nestled in small town USA. No Coast Film Festival has so much to offer from an amazing historical theater for screenings, an amazing Filmmakers lounge and swag bag to the only local treasure hunt festival experience I've ever seen to encourage local business and filmmaker fun. The team is incredible with communication and their passion for bringing a top notch film festival to the Emporia community and beyond is spectacular to experience. Thank you No Coast Film Festival for a wonderful experience and making Assaman part of your Official Selection 2022. Winning the Audience Choice Award was the special icing on the cake for us!

No Coast Film Festival was a treat. Clear communication, and they made everyone of the filmmakers that went to Emporia feel welcome, and it was a thrill to be an Official Selection. When my next short's ready for the big screen, I'll definitely be knocking on their door.

  • No Coast was hands down one of the best festival experiences I've had to date. Communication was consistent and clear throughout the entire process and the entire crew was extremely hospitable when I arrived in Kansas from California. They constantly checked in to ensure I was enjoying myself and even gave me a ride to the airport at the end of my stay (over an hour drive).
In addition to the crew, the networking opportunities were great as there were social events every night after the last screenings. I enjoyed connecting with other filmmakers at venues like Mulready's Pub and Twin Rivers Winery among others.
Lastly, the Granada Theater was a fun and beautiful venue for the screenings. It enhanced the experience ten-fold and gave the fest a classic feel. To top things off, I even got a complimentary screen-printed shirt outside of the theater.
Overall, this festival blew me away for only being 3 years old. It was far more professional and put-together than some festivals over twice its age. I definitely intend to submit again!
