Sunny Moodie is a director from the Highlands of Scotland. Graduating from St Andrews University Sunny Moodie’s career began working with a number of contemporaries, including Natalie Ulman, alongside established figures, such as Richard Demarco, to stage a series of large scale, hit, Shakespeare touring productions. Following a spell of warm critical acclaim for his acting and directorial roles in these productions in Fringe Theatre magazines, as well as national publications including The Scotsman Newspaper & The Scotland Magazine, Moodie was invited to join The Director’s Guild of Great Britain in 2014. As an accredited writer for the guild he traveled to the Venice International Film Festival in the Summer of 2014 to cover the work of James Franco, Abel Ferrara, Barry Levinson & Michael Almereyda. From that summer Moodie has been working with several American independent motion picture directors, honing his craft on screen. With their support he completed his own directorial debut WILD HEARTS, a medium length short that screened with the support of Creative Scotland at the EFM at the 2015 Berlinale. Moodie also co-directed the Highland Youth Arts Hub funded NIGHEAN NA COILLE, a Gaelic short shot in his native Scottish Highlands and American heist film Rat Trap.
Natalie Ulman is a film director. She studied film at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, UK and wrote her master's thesis on Dennis Hopper & the American religious landscape in film. After graduating she covered the world's great film festivals (Venice, Locarno, Jerusalem) for The Saint Newspaper. Ready to create her own films Natalie produced Miami-set, BASE and Sunny Moodie's Wild Hearts which premiered at EFM at the Berlin International Film Festival, 2014. Natalie then directed the Gaelic fantasy Nighean na Coille (She Came from the Woods) with the support of Highland Youth Arts Hub. She has since directed two electric modern Shakespeare short film adaptations based off of A Midsummer Night's Dream and As You Like It. Natalie is adamant on working with female, transgender, and ethnically diverse cast and crew and bringing female stories to life through film.
