Director Statement

I have a personal connection with psychic disorders. It is something that has been part of my family. In addition, I grew up amongst street artists and could observe just how differences get marginalized in society. These people are part of my DNA, and I want to make them seen.
In NAU, we had the challenge to build an aquatic woman. A mermaid trapped in this world who lives in fear and isolation. A call from a ship triggers memories and delusions. At the same time, it all may be happening only in her head.
