Nat spent eight years as a stand-up comic, taking eight shows to Edinburgh, series writing on Stand Up For The Week (Ch4), and creating two Radio 4 series with her sketch group Jigsaw. She then wrote and starred in the short film, Island Queen. It was nominated for a BAFTA in 2014, won Best Comedy at The Smalls and The European Independent Film Festival. She wrote and starred in Three Women Wait For Death, made with Creative England, Big Talk Films and Babycow, which won Best Short at Encounters 2016, and plays Tallulah Bankhead in Florence Foster Jenkins.
Nat took her experience of directing live comedy and sketch and won the Shakespeare’s Sister scheme, run by the British Council, Film London and Film4, to make Wyrdoes as writer/director. It was Official Selection at the London Short Film Festival, nominated for Underwire’s XX Award and has played all around the world. Nat then directed War Paint, a dark comedy written by Yasmine Akram (Sherlock, A Date For Mad Mary) and funded by Creative England’s Emerging Talent scheme.
She has several features in development as writer/director/performer, all comedy and one comedy horror. She has adapted two novels, Spilt Milk Black Coffee by Helen Cross and Brooklyn Story by Suzanne Corso. Nat’s original screenplay, Annie’s Got Body Issues won the BAFTA Rocliffe Forum in 2014 and was shortlisted for the 2016 Global Literati award. Her screenplay, The Clean Up, was selected as part of Film London’s Microwave scheme and their Micro Market.
Murder Fans was shortlisted for Creative England's 2018 iFeatures scheme and Channel 4's 2018 4screenwriting scheme.
