Independent artist, filmmaker, animal person living in Victoria, BC , Canada.
In 2013 I got a dog from the SPCA and felt an inordinate amount of anxiety about giving her a name, which lead to a series of surreal experiences depicted in this short in film. In 2017 I was awarded a Chris J. Melnychuk scholarship from Quickdraw Animation Society which allowed me to gain the skills necessary to complete the project.
Special Thanks to Tyler Longmire, Ryan Von Hagen and Brian Batista for their help with the project. To the staff and volunteers at the BC SPCA Victoria branch for bringing Jordan into my conscious and subconscious life and to the First Nations people of Kumsheen for allowing me to film on their land and reference their cultural stories.
