Director Biography - Angela Sadler Williamson

Dr. Angela Sadler Williamson is a dedicated marketing and communication professional with over 20 years experience in the broadcast television, cable advertising, healthcare, financial, municipal government and higher education industries. During her lengthy career, she has used her marketing and communication talents to create public service announcements and corporate videos for such nonprofit organizations as Goodwill Industries of Orange County, The American Red Cross of Orange County, Children’s Hospital of Orange County and the City of Manhattan Beach in addition to completing similar projects for numerous for-profit companies. She is currently an adjunct communication studies instructor at Concordia University Irvine and Rio Hondo Community College.

Dr. Williamson obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from California State University, Fullerton in Mass Communications. She is a former producer and copywriter for the Orange County NewsChannel , Fox 11 Television, Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket. A multiple Telly awards recipient, Dr. Williamson also has a doctorate in Human Services with a specialization in Management of Nonprofit Agencies from Capella University in Minnesota.

Dr. Williamson utilizes her marketing and television abilities for social good by involving herself in projects or organizations across the Southern California region whose goals are to make the community they serve better. She is currently a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood, an organization making a difference in women lives by promoting educational opportunities for women. Her research on social media and older adults provides nonprofit organizations a foundation to encourage the aging population to successfully engage in the digital space. She released her first film about her cousin Rosa Parks at the Culver City Film Festival on December 10, 2017. It won the "Grand Prize" in the documentary category.
