My dad, the camera and I
While a father prepares for a high-risk operation in Brazil, a son in Argentina finds travel photographs on his computer. If distance as well as time give rise to forgetfulness, an odd combination of events will allow the reconstruction of a shared memory between them. This will be the beginning of an audiovisual correspondence and the rescue of the link between father and son.

I am a 31 year old filmmaker, born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
My passion for the arts starts very early from my contact with photography, influenced by my father.
In 2014 I moved to Argentina where I graduated in audiovisual at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA - 2019). Then I was selected for the Cine Program at the Universidad Di Tella (UTDT - 2020), and made the short film My father, the camera and me, in which I explore an autobiographical approach.
In this period I made my first short film as a director and photographer, Apuntes Sobre Identidad (2017), selected for more than 20 national and international festivals, among them the 32nd International Film Festival of Mar del Plata, (Argentina) and the 13th Festival of Latin American Cinema of São Paulo, (Brazil).
I’m a co-founder, programmer and producer of the Latin American Festival RABIA. Founded in 2018, the festival has already screened more than 70 films from the continent, between feature films and short films. The festival was selected in the Mecenazgo Cultural in the city of Buenos Aires and in 2021 it will hold it’s 5th edition.
In 2018 I was selected to be a Young Judge at the 7th edition of the International Documentary Film Festival of Buenos Aires (FIDBA), awarding the first feature film by María Silvia Esteves, Silvia (2018).
The experience of living so many years abroad and the joy of getting to know new cultures provoked me the urge to investigate the immigrant theme, which led me to make my first feature film, Afronteras (2021). The film follows immigrant and diaspora culture on three Uruguayan borders with Brazil and Argentina.
My most recent work as director of photography, Amazona.doc (2021), is a film contemplated by the Aldir Blanc Law in 2020, which accompanies a theater group in their presentations through the streets of the city of Rio de Janeiro.
