mother of pearl
mother of pearl
is a visual + embodied labyrinth exploring the ritual and process that shelled creatures (mollusks, oysters, abalones) undergo when parasitic energies enter their environment. This exploration exalts the transmutation of irritants, exploitatives, and violent parasites into reclaimed ornamentation, adornment, and celebration.
