Welcome to the Mondi Lontani Short Film Festival, now entering its 6th edition and firmly establishing its home in Naples. After previously residing in Cilento, specifically Scario, our festival has embraced the vibrant cinematic culture of Naples.

Taking place at the iconic Cinema Modernissimo in late 2025, the festival is a celebration of the art of filmmaking, spanning two immersive days of screenings, discussions, and networking opportunities for filmmakers and cinema lovers alike.

At the Mondi Lontani Short Film Festival, we believe that cinema is an expressive medium that thrives on passion and the constant desire to push boundaries. Our mission is to showcase 12 exceptional authorial short films that have been crafted with love and an unwavering commitment to artistic practice.

Dedicated to promoting international cinema from all corners of the globe, our festival brings together diverse voices and cultures. Each selected film will be screened in its original language with Italian subtitles, allowing the audience to fully immerse themselves in the filmmaker's vision and storytelling.

Our festival is committed to supporting emerging talent. Each month leading up to the annual event, we select and promote outstanding short films, providing filmmakers with the opportunity to share their creative process and insights through exclusive interviews published on our website. These films will also have the chance to be screened during the festival and compete for our prestigious $500 cash prize.
