#uarefunny presents MOM Comedy Standup and Film Festival

MOM is a Comedy Standup and Film Festival continuing its Sixth (6) season. This contest is designed to promote filmmakers and stand-up comedians who look at life with a comedic mindset. With the popularity of short-form content, we are moving the festival in a new direction to attract a greater talent pool of insta-media creators.

Jokes can be satire, political, Christian, and or just raunchy. It's up to you. We are looking for creativity. But, remember, there is an audience structure to joke telling, and too many swear words and skin may get you nowhere.

The event will happen every three months with a 12-week submission cycle and a two-week preparatory event.

Stand Up Comedian Submissions:

1-minute joke:

Stand-up submissions should be one minute (1) or less long and in a standup audience type format. Jokes can be recorded and can have been posted on any social media platform. Uploaded sets should have clear audio. Our comedic judges will judge your set, and you will be notified at the end of the submission period as a qualifier. These jokes can be in any language. But, it is important to have English subtitles. These jokes should only be original or permission-given jokes.

1-minute joke Act Out:

These should be jokes acted out and less than a minute. What this means is you can be using a voice-over of a comedian, but their name must be credited on the screen when presented. Think of this as a way to enhance that comedian's imagination and give them credit for their idea by sharing a flair of your creativity. All jokes must be

3-minute joke:

Stand-up submissions should be three minutes (3) but greater than one minute in length and should be performed in a standup audience type format. Jokes can be recorded and can have been posted on any social media platform. Uploaded sets should have clear audio. Our comedic judges will judge your set, and you will be notified at the end of the submission period as a qualifier.

Film Submissions:

Films picked do not have to be exclusively comedy. But, they must have a comedic outlook on life, as in, "comedy is the best medicine."

Comedic Script Submissions:

Scripts are judged on their storytelling value. Although it is recommended to prove them in the traditional script format. The story sees submissions as the most important aspect of these submissions. What this means is not only are we accepting textual stories, but we also are accepting storyboard stories visually. All stories. It must be at least ten pages.
