Mountain of Molecules
My first short film. Devised to teach me as much as possible about all aspects of filmmaking: production, editing, scoring, effects and distribution. Shot with limited equipment and no budget, this was a test of what can be achieved with a consumer camera, a cuddly penguin and a little imagination. A simple story about a simple toy...

Nick hails from Essex, UK and is a first-time filmmaker trying to learn as much as possible about shooting as a one-man team with a consumer mirrorless camera, minimal equipment and no budget. His first short, Mountain of Molecules, was designed to teach and test himself as much as possible, with Nick writing, filming, editing and scoring the piece.
Designed to further my understanding about all aspects of filmmaking: production, editing, scoring, effects and distribution, Mountain of Molecules was shot with limited equipment and no budget. This was a test of what can be achieved with a consumer camera, a cuddly penguin and a little imagination.
