Milky

When an anxious widow finds her cafe host to a heated argument about breastfeeding can she find the courage to do the right thing?

‘Milky’ explores feminine strength and it’s many forms; at the forefront of the film are strong women, whether they are vulnerable or defiant. The film follows Flora who is struggling greatly when we first meet her. Her husband has very suddenly died, leaving her in charge of his café where she feels completely out of her depth. This is not helped by the constant presence of her late husband’s brother, Darren, who believes he should have inherited the café. Darren and Flora’s opposing belief systems clash when Darren furiously objects to a young woman breastfeeding in the café, forcing Flora to find the courage to stand up for herself once and for all.
