Director Biography - Michea Bryant

Michea Bryant is a graduate student in her third year at USC. During her tenure, she has written and directed various projects, one of which earned her entry into Ryan Murphy's Half Foundation Director Mentorship Program. She is currently producing a thesis film while interning for DeVon Franklin Entertainment at Fox for the summer. Prior to USC, Michea attended La Salle University, where she played basketball on a full scholarship while also interning for the Washington Redskins, Comcast Sportsnet, and the Philadelphia Eagles. She is a USC Black Alumni Association Scholar and a member of the Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honor Society.

Director Statement

As part of USC's Making Media for Social Change course, Heart Eyes was born out of Michea’s experiences working with the disabilities community. Heart Eyes is a groundbreaking opportunity to negate the stigmas and prejudices associated with the Down syndrome community by utilizing a starring narrative role that is both impactful and heart-warming.
