Director Statement

This is a film about a man facing his own mortality. In a city under siege, without food, Vladimir tries to come to grips with his freedom, with a moral dilemma whether to sacrifice the only living witness of his own destiny.
It's a psychological monodrama, raw and hyper realistic, with elements of mythical allegory.
Film is based upon true events, set in Leningrad during one of the bloodiest skirmishes of World War II.
