Festival Description
Did you ever dream to have your screenplay filmed and produced? Stop dreaming and make it happen this year!
mc² film, a filmmaking collective based in Bucharest, EU, are all about transforming your imagination and words into a real short film in 2018!
With short films accepted and screened at festivals in US, UK, Australia and Romania, mc² film is looking for the next big thing, the short scripts that will catch their eyes and spark their fire.

On our first edition of the festival we focused on short film screenplays under 6 pages. Now, we're moving one step closer to film festivals demands. There are hundreds of festivals accepting 1 minute films for no fee, so let's create together the films that will make a splash in the festival circuit!

This was the first time I've entered a screenwriting competition so I was not sure what to expect. I found the contest was really well organized, with some excellent honest feedback that should put me in good stead for future works.
I wish the contest winner and those behind the production all the best, and look forward to future competitions.

Thank you, Jack! And keep in touch! Once again, animating it might be the avenue! And the more we think about it, as an animated film, the more we feel it has feature film potential!

I am very grateful that I was a semi-finalist at mc2 (screenplay to) FILM and got two constructive critics from professionals. I really appreciate it, the critics will help me a lot for further writing in future. Thanks a lot for the good advice.

While I am an avid review writer overall, this is my first foray into writing an official review for a film and/or scriptwriting festival. I have experience in dealing with over 80 festivals for both the aforementioned entities. I was most pleasantly surprised with this festival. They are professional and courteous. I have had several very fruitful and informative communications with the organizers. The feedback I received was extremely helpful and it was 100% evident that they paid close attention to every word on the written page. I have not before or since received feedback with such intense detail and with easy-to-understand explanations. Overall (and most importantly), my most pleasing experience with these folks is that they actually follow through to the letter with everything they promise in exchange for your submission. I would highly recommend this festival and with many other script works either completed or in progress, I plan to submit more material to them in the near future in hopes of becoming another semi-finalist (at least!) Kudos to the staff and organizers. In closing, my only hope is that other festivals and contests of this nature follow the example and parameters set by this particular group.
