Director Biography - Waleed M. Al-Yamani

In 2005, Target Practice Pictures started from humble beginnings with private video work and slowly progressed into corporate and commercial work. Conceptualised by writer director Waleed M. Al-Yamani the production company was committed to developing independent film in South Africa. A chance encounter and collaboration with then up and coming fellow film maker Khalid El-Jelailati birthed '82', an experimental short film that garnered international attention. This spurred more collaboration between the two film makers and their production companies, Image State and Target Practice Pictures. Since then the two have produced shorts like 'Nothing to Lose', 'Jihad' and now 'Masterpiece’.

There's a Yemeni proverb that reads, 'An arrow only flies as far as the bowman pulls the bowstring back'. With all that has come before me in mind, I am focused on film, I've adjusted my frame of mind and now I throw myself into it wholeheartedly #focusframeshoot
