Experiencing Interruptions?

Net weight

The train is a small country. And pensioners, and infants, and hard workers, and intelligent students live here all together. The poorer live in common railway carriage, the richer in closed compartments, away from the bulk of the people. But all these people are locked in one cramped iron carriage: they do not live, but only wait, when, finally, they will arrive. But where?

In March 2019, two Russian students, Oleg Tsiplakov and Nikita Lopatin, took the train from Moscow to Vladivostok along the famous Trans-Siberian Railway. 6 days on the road, 9 thousand kilometers behind him and more than 15 interviews with train passengers: all in order to figure out who they live with in the same country and what kind of country it is.

«Net Weight» is a slice of society in modern Russia. After watching this film, you can understand what is in the minds of the Russians, how they relate to the government and what topics they care about.
