Mariposa

A drama about two sisters facing the challenges of love, loss and the bonds of family in Miami’s Little Havana. Having lost their mother at a young age, Angela and Catalina were raised by their loving father, Andres, a Cuban immigrant who encouraged them to pursue their hopes and dreams. Twenty years later, those dreams remain unfulfilled.

In pursuit of a successful career as an Assistant D.A., Angela is alienated from her beloved family and is caught in an estranged relationship with her husband Ryan. Catalina, as the family’s steadfast caretaker, fears she will never experience the kind of authentic love her parents once shared. An investigation of a suspicious land developer with ties to Ryan’s Congressional campaign, coupled with an unforeseen heart wrenching event, forces the sisters to overcome hidden desires and face deep questions of identity as they discover the lives they were meant to live.
